Terbutaline Sulphate B.P 2.5 mg
Bromhexine Hydrochloride B.P 8.0 mg
Guaifenesin B.P 100mg
Flavoured Syrupy base

Dr. Mac’s Cough Formula is used to relieve and prevent attacks of asthma, including exercise-induced asthma. Asthma is a breathing problem caused by narrowing of the air passages (Bronchial tubes) that allow air to move in and out of the lungs. These airways can be narrowed due to the accumulation of mucus, Spasm of the muscles that surrounds them or swelling their linings due to the accumulation of fluid.
Dr. Mac’s Cough Formula. dilates bronchial airways by relaxing the surrounding bronchial muscles.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
No absolute contraindication in the treatment of airways obstruction. Care is required in patients with thyrotoxicosis or ischaemic heart disease. Inhaled preparations are unlikely to cause problems unless large doses are used.
Warnings
Neonates. The drug rarely used in the neonatal period.
Breast Milk. Concentrations in breast milk produce undetectable levels in the child
Children. Children may have difficulty using pressurized aerosols, in which case syrup or nebulized solution is appropraite. Oral doses for children are 0.075mg/kg three times daily. (0.075mg is equivalent to 25ml of undiluted syrup.)
Pregnant women. Oral treatment (20-40mg daily) to prevent recurrent premature labour has been associated with imparied control of diabetes or glucose tolelrance
Dosage and Administration
Adults: 2 tea spoonful(10ml), 3-4 times a day.
Children:(3-6 years) 1/4-1/2 Teaspoonful (1.25-2.5ml),3-4times a day. Or as directed by Physician
