    Each 15 ml contains
    Ferrous Glucconate BP 300mg
    Calcium Glucconate BP 125mg
    Cyanoccobalamin BP 10mg
    Folic Acid BP 2mg
    Sorbitol Bp q.s

    In a flavoured syrup base
    Colour: Carmoisine
    Appropriate overages of vitamins added to compensate loss on storage.

    MECHANISM OF ACTION
    Calfic is an important activator in many enzymatic reactions and is essential to a number of physiologic processes including transmission of nerve impulses; contraction of cardic, smooth and skeletal muscles; renal function; respiration and blood coagulation. Calfic also plays regulatory roles in the release and storage of neurotransmitters and hormones, in the uptake and binding of amino acids, and in cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) absorption and gastric secretion. Calfic syrup contains folic acid which works along with vitamin B12 and vitamin C to help the body break down, use and in creation of new protein

  • INDICATION...

    Calfic suspension contains Iron which is important for the production of red blood cells. It is used to treat conditions arising from calcium deficiencies such as hypocalcemic tetany, hypocalcemia related to hypoparathyrodism and hypocalcemia due to rapid growth or pregnancy. Also used as an adjunct in the treatment of rickets & osteomalacia. It also helps tissues growth in the maintenence of a healthy nervous system and contains an especially important vitamin for maintaining healthy nerve cells.

    Calfic works to promote normal growth and development, helps in the management of certain types of nerve damage, and treats permicious anemia.

    DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION:
    As directed by the physician.

    CONTRAINDICATION:
    Don’t take any vitamin or mineral supplements that doctor has not prescribed or recommended.

    DRUG INTERACTIONS: Interactions with Calfic may occur with the following:

    • Antacid
    • Levodopa (Dopar, Larodopa)
    • Quinolone antibiotics (Cipro, Floxin)

    SIDE EFFECTS:

    • Side effects may include
    • Constipation, diarrhea
    • Stomac pain, upset stomach;
    • Black or dark-colored stools or urine; or
    • Temporary staining of the teeth.

    STORAGE: Stores in a cool, dry & dark place. Protect from sunlight.
    PRESENTATION: 100/200ml in Pet bottles and in Duplex Board cartons
